How is the Outdoor Camera Pro 3 installed?
The camera uses a wired Ethernet connection with Power over Ethernet (PoE), delivering both power and data through a single cable. It is wired to a Wi-Fi bridge inside the house, which then connects wirelessly to your home network. A Vivint professional technician handles installation to ensure proper placement, wiring, and system integration.
What is RADAR-powered detection, and why does it matter?
RADAR tracks both movement and distance, so the camera can more accurately identify people and vehicles—and ignore false alerts from animals, trees, shadows, or lighting changes.

How does the Outdoor Camera Pro record?
The Outdoor Camera Pro 3 triggers automatic video recording when a person is detected within the camera’s field of vision. You’ll only get notified when the camera identifies people and vehicles. Pets aren’t detected. And the camera doesn't stop recording until the action's over.
Browsing footage later is a breeze since recorded segments are automatically saved as Vivint Smart Clips. The representative explained the…
The representative explained the details except for the breakdown of the payment for each equipment. We were just told that it is to be paid (equipment) within 60 months and the monitoring fee is separate. As for the techs that installed the equipment, they were good except that they left dirt on the floor and I have to clean it. They also were not wearing shoe covers and were walking on my cream colored rug with their shoes.

BEWARE OF PUSHY SALESMEN. The uninstall tech was great!
The good part of this review is about the UNinstall. My experience with the UNinstall was great. I was VERY glad to get UNinstalled from the system! I'm ashamed to admit that I was talked into buying this system by a smooth-talking salesman who pushed me right into a five-year contract before I knew what was happening. Don't believe the salesman when he tells you that you have 60 days in which to cancel. It's actually 3 days, and I barely got in under the wire! Praise God I'm out, the equipment is gone, the loan is canceled, and I will not fall for this again!!!! Now, on to the good part: The tech, Ray O'Neil, who came to uninstall the equipment couldn't have been nicer. He was quick, knowledgeable, polite, and very good at what he does. I appreciated him immensely. After removing the Vivint equipment, he put back my deadbolt, thermostat and doorbell. Thank you Ray!!! Don't let a salesman talk you into something you don't need and don't want!!!!!!
