What is a smart home hub?
A smart home hub is the command center for your security system and automation devices. The Vivint Smart Hub lets you view cameras, talk to visitors, and connect instantly with Vivint’s 24/7 monitoring team.
How does a smart hub work?
The Vivint Smart Hub keeps you connected with LTE and encrypted Wi-Fi. Even in a power outage, its 24-hour battery backup has you covered.
Should I upgrade from my current panel to the new Smart Hub Pro?
Yes. If you have a GoControl or SkyControl panel, upgrading to Smart Hub Pro lets you access the latest Vivint smart home technologies, including the Outdoor Camera Pro, Doorbell Camera Pro, and Indoor Camera Pro. If you already have a Smart Hub, the upgrade provides improved connectivity and flexibility to add new products in the future.
Do I need a smoke/CO detector if the Smart Hub Pro has built-in smoke and CO monitoring?
Yes. The Smart Hub Pro monitors for your existing smoke and CO alarms—it does not replace them.
Can I have multiple Smart Hub Pros in my home?
No. Each home can have only one Smart Hub (Smart Hub or Smart Hub Pro) per system.

What can I monitor with a smart hub?

Fast and reasonable
I was sad that the got a thermostat in my bundle and it isn’t compatible with my house but they wouldn’t switch it out for anything else even things that were priced cheaper. That is vivints bad, but my tech was awesome.

My experience was good
My experience was good, but not necessarily great. Total cost of products and services should be clearly presented before actually getting to the point of signing of contract. I was already interested in obtaining a home security system, so a "fast" sales pitch was almost counter-productive. I still have a few general questions that I need answered.
