Protection plan
The Vivint Protection Plan* (VPP) offers ongoing support and coverage when you invest in a Vivint system.
Lock up with the press of a button or right from the Vivint app. With smart locks, you can set your system to arm when you lock the door, and know who's coming and going with unique access codes.
With the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro and Smart Locks you can answer the door, let visitors in, and lock up when they leave—from anywhere.
Depending on where they are in the home, customers sometimes miss a visitor at the door or a system alert. Installing a doorbell extender in different areas throughout the home broadens the range of select system chimes and alerts beyond the audible range of the doorbell or smart home system panel. With doorbell chime extenders, customers can rest assured they’ll never miss another alert or chime. Explore the benefits of installing Chime Extender in your home.
We say yes! Customers frequently underestimate the size of their home at time of purchase. Even in smaller homes, if you’re watching a movie or listening to music in a bedroom it’s easy to miss a doorbell chime. How chime works: A visitor rings your doorbell and chime extenders carry the sound outside the audible range of the Smart Hub. Knowing what’s happening in all parts of the home is the surest way to provide complete peace of mind regarding the safety of your home.
Just about anywhere outside the Smart Hub’s audible range — a basement chime or bedroom doorbell chime placement is always a good idea to ensure you hear chimes and alerts anywhere in your home. Still not sure? A Vivint home specialist can help.
The Vivint Chime Extender does not work with standalone devices at this time. It only integrates with a Doorbell Camera Pro that’s connected to a Smart Hub panel (or newer model).
You can hear the following through the Chime Extender:
The Doorbell Camera Pro and the Chime Extender comprise the perfect doorbell kit. So install as many as you need! The Vivint Chime Extender is a Wi-Fi based device, so you’re only as limited as your Wi-Fi.
Vivint HomeProtect customers can add on the following products: Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro + Vivint Chime Extender, Vivint Playback, Vivint Smart Thermostat, Kwikset Smart Lock, Vivint Protection Plan, additional Motion Sensors, and additional Door & Window Sensors. Upgrading to HomeProtect Pro allows you to add-on even more products, like the Outdoor Camera Pro, Smart Lighting, and more.
HomeProtect includes a Motion Sensor and 3 Door & Window Sensors. Customers can add on additional Motion Sensors and Door & Window Sensors. HomeProtect Pro customers can add on those same sensors, plus a Water Sensor, Glass Detector, and a Smoke & CO Combo Detector.
