Smarter Together is a partnership between Vivint and Reliant that delivers a unique Energy Insights experience in the Vivint app—exclusive to customers of both brands. It combines personalized energy insights from Reliant with seamless control of Vivint smart home devices, all in one place.

Customers with both Vivint and Reliant unlock a unified experience in the Vivint app. They can see real-time energy insights from their Reliant account while managing their Vivint smart home and security devices side by side.

There aren’t financial incentives beyond existing Vivint offers, like Vivint HomeEssentials (VHE) or the $99 Smart Home Essentials bundle. The real value is the convenience of managing energy, security, and smart home devices together in one app.

To access the Energy Insights tab, customers need a smart thermostat enrolled in Reliant’s Degrees of Difference program. A Vivint Smart Thermostat is recommended, but compatible options like Google Nest may also work. Basic insights are available without one, but upcoming enhanced features—like HVAC anomaly detection and cost-saving recommendations—will require a smart thermostat.

No. Customers can choose any Reliant electricity plan that fits their lifestyle. Existing Reliant customers don’t need to change their plan.

No. Billing stays separate. Customers will continue to get individual bills from Reliant and Vivint.
