Transfer Your Vivint Service to a New Home

Don't leave your protection behind

Transfer your Vivint system to your new home with step-by-step support. We'll walk you through how to easily remove your equipment and safely take it when you move.

If you require further help uninstalling your equipment, give us a call. We’re here to assist you.

How assisted move works

  1. Call our Customer Moves department. They’ll help you add your new monitoring address so your protection follows you where you go.

  2. If you know your move-in date, schedule installation prior to removing your equipment, which ensures your system removal and setup go as smoothly as possible.

  3. The Customer Moves department will make sure your panel is unregistered to prevent the alarm from dispatching services during the removal.

To uninstall your system, check out the self-pull instructions for step-by-step guidance. If you prefer to have a technician do it for you, feel free to give us a call to schedule a professional removal. We're here to help.

about moving your system

How do I move my Vivint system to a new home?

Moving with Vivint is simple. Schedule a move appointment. Remove equipment from your current home, or schedule professional removal with Vivint. We’ll install your equipment in your new home and make sure your system connects and works like it should. Additional equipment can be added during installation if needed.

How long does it take to move my system?

Move appointments vary based on the size of your system and your new home's setup. Your Smart Home Pro will handle installation, testing, and setup to help ensure everything is working properly before they leave.

What equipment should I take with me?

Most Vivint equipment can move with you, including your control panel, cameras, smart locks, thermostats, and other smart home devices. Some equipment may need to be replaced or upgraded depending on your new home's needs. A Smart Home Pro can help determine the best setup for your new space.
