Today Vivint, a leading provider of smart home technology, joins more than 10,000 iconic landmarks, communities and businesses in celebrating World Autism Awareness Day with Autism Speaks’ international Light It Up Blue initiative.

Vivint will shine a light on autism by illuminating its Utah headquarters and Innovation Center buildings in blue throughout Autism Awareness Month. This initiative is part of the Vivint Gives Back foundation’s focus on enhancing the lives of children with intellectual disabilities.

“Vivint is excited to participate in Autism Speaks’ Light It Up Blue campaign and help raise awareness for a cause that affects so many worldwide,” said Holly Mero-Bench, director of the Vivint Gives Back foundation. “We are grateful for this opportunity to support the Autism community.”

Vivint joins landmarks like Egypt’s Great Pyramid, London’s Trafalgar Square, China’s Oriental Pearl Tower, Pope Francis’ Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral, One World Trade Center, Niagara Falls and others throughout the Global Autism Community in spreading awareness for Autism Speaks’ ninth annual Light It Up Blue initiative.

“Autism Speaks is thrilled that Vivint is joining in the awareness generated on World Autism Awareness Day,” said Alec M. Elbert, Autism Speaks’ chief strategy and development officer. “We share with Vivint a commitment to extend help and hope to our community and we are most grateful for their continuing support.”

Autism Speaks is sharing a fun way to show support for the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Day with Light It Up Blue selfie signs to personalize and post on social media with the hashtag #LIUB. Visit www.autismspeaks.org to download selfie signs in several languages.
