Vivint, one of the largest home automation companies in North America, offers customers the ability to control their security, energy management and smart home features from their mobile devices with an easy-to-use Vivint app.
Vivint’s mobile app is supported by iPhone, BlackBerry and Google Android devices, and can be downloaded for no additional cost at www.vivint.com. Customers who do not have smartphones can access their home automation system from any device with an Internet connection. Customers simply login on the Vivint homepage to control their security, energy management and home automation features from down the street or across the globe.
“I use my phone all the time to control my Vivint system,” said Scott Simpson from Kentucky. “Last year our family went on vacation to Panama. From my smartphone, I was able to let my mother in and out of the house to check on the mail, as well as monitor the temperature. It was simple and convenient.”
Vivint’s mobile access is ideal for busy parents who juggle work and family responsibilities. “Being able to control the thermostat and the door locks are my favorite features,” said Neil Chandre, a father of two young sons from Georgia. “When I forget to set my system, I just lock my doors from my car using my smartphone and then control the thermostat from work. As my boys grow up and start getting into drawers and cabinets, the contact sensors will help keep them safe. The peace of mind Vivint gives my wife and me is definitely worth the money.”
Mobile access is a simple way for Vivint customers to monitor and manage energy use, and to ensure their homes and families are safe.
"If we're running late and we have people coming over, like our friends or a dog sitter, we can unlock the door with our phones,” said customer Brandon Hodges from Georgia. “When they leave, we just lock the door behind them. It's comforting to know that our home is safe and secure."
In addition to offering remote access for home automation features, Vivint customers can also receive customized notifications from the app. Customers with smartphones can choose to receive notices via email and regular texts or push notifications, which are similar to text messages but come directly from the app and are free. Customers whose phones do not have Internet capabilities can receive text notifications. “I love the alerts I receive by email or text,” said customer Lisa Roberts from Missouri. “We always know what is going on in our home, from the locks and alarms to the motion detectors. Our family feels safe and protected.”
