Vivint™, the largest home automation services company in North America, today announced it has raised $1.5 million from its Vivint Gives Back “Summer of Service” initiative.

During summer months, the Vivint Gives Back campaign focused on raising funds and providing hands-on service in local communities and set a goal of completing 80 separate projects with more than 6,000 hours of time donated by employees. The company partnered with Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Tapestries of Light to collaborate on several charitable ventures.

“At Vivint, service isn’t something we say, it’s something we live,” said Josh Houser, president of Vivint Gives Back. “Vivint’s commitment to giving back includes everything from organizing meals for children who don’t have enough to eatto building homes for deserving families.”

“More than 115 different service projects have been completed so far this year,” Houser added. “There is always someone in need and Vivint’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of those that need a helping hand.”
