Associations
The mission of the Security Industry Alarm Coalition is to create a structure for all interested parties to come together under the banner of “dispatch reduction” and “alarm management” across North America. The Coalition seeks to maintain a liaison with national and state (or provincial) law enforcement leadership and to educate and empower local alarm communities to proactively foster relationships with law enforcement before a crisis development.
Chartered in 1940, the National Sheriffs' Association is a professional association dedicated to serving the Office of Sheriff and its affiliates through education, training, and information resources. NSA represents thousands of sheriffs, deputies and other law enforcement, public safety professionals, and concerned citizens nationwide.
The Security Industry Association is the leading trade group for businesses in the electronic and physical security market. SIA protects and advances its members' interests by advocating pro-industry policies and legislation on Capitol Hill and throughout the 50 states; producing cutting-edge global market research; creating open industry standards that enable integration; advancing industry professionalism through education and training; opening global market opportunities; and providing sole sponsorship of the ISC Expos, the world's largest security trade shows and conferences.

The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) is a trade association that represents companies offering security (alarm) monitoring systems through a central station. Our member companies operate central station alarm monitoring systems that have been certified by a CSAA-approved Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTl), such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Factory Mutual (FM). Such certification assures customers that their insurance companies and local emergency service agencies that are members of the CSAA provide the highest quality and most reliable burglar and fire alarm service available to residential and commercial clients.
For more than 60 years, the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (ESA) has supported the changing needs of its members, the industry, and the nation. A non-profit 501 (c) 6 trade association, the ESA has evolved into the largest professional trade association in the United States with the purpose of representing, promoting, and enhancing the growth and professional development of the electronic life safety, security, and integrated systems industry. In cooperation with a federation of state associations, ESA provides government advocacy and delivers timely information, professional development tools, products, and services that members use to nurture and prosper their businesses.

This certification recognizes that 100 percent of its operators have achieved proficiency and certification by passing the CSAA Online Operator Training Course. |

In March 2011, Vivint received the Gold Level Gartner and 1to1 Media CRM Excellence Award in the category of Enterprise Efficiency. In the category of Enterprise Efficiency, the judging panel was looking for organizations that reduced operational and interaction costs and improved sales, service, or other customer-facing processes without a detrimental impact on the customer experience. |

The Vivint Gives Back Project, which donated $250,000 to six U.S. and Canadian non-profit organizations, received the 2011 Sammy Award for "Best Community Outreach Program" from Security Sales & Integration magazine. The Community Service Program award is designed to pay tribute to the installing security company that exemplifies the best volunteerism, as well as a sense of caring and responsibility for others that connects citizens and solves community problems. |

In October 2011, Vivint won the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence. This award recognizes the quality of our workplace and evaluates company HR procedures, benefits and compensation programs, culture, employee flexibility policies, and overall employee morale. The Sloan Awards are unique for their rigorous, two-step selection process, which involves an evaluation of employers' flexibility programs and practices, and a confidential employee survey. All applicants are measured against national norms from FWI's National Study of Employers. |
