Important safety message

Vivint recently discovered that despite its listing by
Underwriter’s Laboratories, the Remotec Dimming
Switch Module poses a risk of electric shock when
used with certain lights and/or small appliances.

While Vivint has not received any reports of shock associated with the Remotec Dimming Switch Module, we care about every one of our customers. We hired an independent laboratory to conduct a thorough investigation of the Remotec Dimming Switch Module, and have now learned enough to take further action. We have stopped selling the Remotec Dimming Switch Module and are in the process of conducting a voluntary recall.

If you have the Remotec Dimming Switch Module in your home, you are eligible to receive a replacement device at no cost. Please enter your information to register with Vivint for a replacement device:

Vivint will mail you a replacement device with instructions on how to replace your existing unit. We ask that until you receive your replacement device, you remove any lights and/or small appliances that are plugged into the Remotec Dimming Switch Module and refrain from plugging anything into the Remotec Dimming Switch Module.

It is safe to leave the Remotec Dimming Switch Module plugged into your electrical outlet and we encourage that you do so until your replacement device is received. Unplugging the Remotec Dimming Switch Module may cause your Vivint system to lose communication with other Z-Wave enabled Vivint devices in your home.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support.
