host a scrabble tournament

It seems like so many things that were once considered old are now new again. Think record players, skinny jeans, and mustaches. One of my favorite vintage things that’s making a come back is Scrabble. The classic crossword board game turns 75 this year and and what better way to celebrate it’s anniversary than to host a Scrabble tournament. It’s a great way to get your friends and neighbors together for an evening of  friendly-competition.

Gather as many boards as you can find by asking your friends and neighbors to bring their boards. Chances are this is the one board game that nearly every family owns! To keep track of everyones scores download this printable Scrabble score card. Round up a few pencils and you’re set!

Start the tournament with an even number of players and pair them up for the first game. The winner of each round can proceed to the next round until one final winner remains.

Download the printable score card, grab some pencils, and invite the block over for an evening of fun!
