Game nights are so much fun! Some of the best memories can be made whether it be a planned out evening or a spontaneous pick up game. Planning a game night is a great way to meet new neighbors or have a good time with old friends or family. Here are some tips you can use to help plan a successful game night.

Most of our friends have children, so if you’re planning on having a “grown-ups only” game night , let your guest know in advance so they can plan to get a sitter.

If you decide to invite families with children, it may be a good idea to have a separate table with kids games. Take into consideration the age of the children in attendance.

It’s good to have game options when your guests arrive. Invite your guests to bring a game of their own, but it’s also a good idea to have backup games. Some of my personal favorites include Yahtzee, Jenga, Cranium, and a nice deck or two of cards.

Desserts and beverages are a must for game nights. Pie and ice cream are my go-to. Pick something that will serve plenty of people and that most people will love.

Don’t be too structured! Game nights are for relaxing and going with the flow.
