Advent Calendar of Service
We all know this is a busy time of year and it’s easy to get caught up in our to-do lists and the many gifts we need to buy, but there’s so much that we can do to spread joy to those around us, especially to those in need. Advent calendars are such a fun way to celebrate the month of December and I love the idea of creating a meaningful, non-traditional advent calendar. As a kid I loved getting a piece of chocolate each day (and don’t get me wrong, I still do), but I’m also looking for more impactful ways to give back while starting new traditions as a family.
I created this printable advent calendar with simple acts of service for 25 days in December. Whether it’s donating to a homeless shelter, holding the door open for others, or reconnecting with an old friend, there are countless ways we can make a difference in our communities, however small they might be. Each and every one counts!
All you have to do is download and print, cut the cards and numbers and use them to make your own personalized calendar. You can put each note inside mini envelopes and attach them all to a bulletin board.
I hope you enjoy my calendar and are inspired to find simple ways to spread love and kindness this season.
