1 year of neighboring

We launched The Neighborhood 1 year ago today.  I wanted to say thank you to all that have written, read, downloaded and participated in the conversation about neighboring.  We want The Neighborhood to be so many things–we want it to be a resource for people to get tips about how to live smarter.  We want it to be a place that encourages you to get out from behind your computer and interact with your neighbors.  We believe that a connected and engaged community is a safer place to be.

The things we are sharing are fun, meaningful and special in so many ways.  I wanted to share a few of my favorite posts:

safety and a dance party – I love to see the impact a vivint system has on family.  Especially when it is the amazing House of Smiths!

hurricane sandy – There is nothing more amazing than watching a community come together in a time of crisis.

bug zappers – I’m a gadget geek.  What can I say?  And I get eaten by bugs all summer!

lets go green – I am always trying to find ways to recycle, this is the perfect helper!

10 signs you are a terrible neighbor – We all know them (unfortunately)!

We are constantly working to make The Neighborhood more interactive and diverse.  Starting this month, we will be sending out a newsletter to keep you up to date with everything that’s going on in this virtual neighborhood. We look forward to sharing and collaborating with you on what you would like to see.  Thank you so much for being a part of The Neighborhood! Look for some fun and exciting changes in the next year.
