2014 CE Pro 100

In May 2014, Vivint placed second on the CE Pro top 100, which ranks the highest revenue residential integration companies in North America. CE Pro recognized Vivint as a company with a large adoption rate of home automation, referencing Vivint’s 61% of new customers that add a home automation feature. Vivint was also recognized as first place in efficiency for creating as many jobs as possible in the most efficient manner.

SDM 100

In May 2014, Vivint ranked fifth on SDM’s list of top 100 companies. The report ranks U.S. companies that earn their revenues from the sale, installation, service, and monitoring of electronic security systems to residential and non-residential customers. The report measures how much money consumers are spending in the security market, and according to SDM, the market is continuing to grow thanks in large part to successful companies like Vivint.

2014 People’s Choice Stevie Award

In February 2014, The Stevie Awards recognized Vivint with the silver for Customer Service Department of the Year. Vivint was chosen from more than 1,500 organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry. In addition to its excellent customer service, Vivint was honored as the Customer Service Complaints Team of the Year and for e-Commerce Customer Service.

Inc. Hire Power Award

In October 2013, Vivint won a 2013 Inc. Hire Power Award from Inc. Magazine, ranking at #2 on the publication’s list of winners. This award recognizes nationally renowned private companies that are leading the way in creating jobs and supporting the country’s economic vitality. Together, the 100 award recipients have created more than 51,000 American jobs in just 18 months. Inc. Magazine also named Vivint the #1 job-creating company in consumer products and services and the #1 job creator in Utah.

UV50 Top 10 Revenue Companies

In June 2013, Vivint was listed twice on the UV50 List by Utah Valley Business Q. Every year this list honors the top 50 up-and-coming companies in several different categories, taking growth, revenue, marketing, and business practices into consideration. This year Vivint ranked #2 on UV50’s Top 10 Revenue Companies list and #26 on the Top 10 Fastest-Growing Companies list.

In March 2013, Vivint won the 2013 People’s Choice Stevie Award for Favorite Customer Service provider in the “other industries” category. More than 211,000 online votes were cast in the worldwide public vote, which was conducted as part of the seventh annual Stevie Awards competition. Vivint also received a Silver Stevie Award for Customer Service Department of the Year in the “other industries” category, and Tim Izatt, director of customer services at Vivint, was honored with a Silver Stevie Award for Contact Center Leader of the Year. Designed to honor organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them, the Stevie Awards recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide and has become one of the world’s most coveted awards.

In February 2013, Vivint was listed at number 46 on Forbes’ annual ranking of America’s Most Promising Companies. This list includes one hundred privately held, high-growth companies with bright futures, and this marks the first year that Vivint has been named to the exclusive list. Vivint was selected to the Forbes list for its growth (in both sales and hiring), the quality of its management team and its investors, product strength, margins, market size, and key strategic partnerships.

PCWorld's 100 Best Products of 2012

In December 2012, Vivint ranked number 53 on PCWorld’s list of the 100 Best Products of 2012. Every year, the editors of PCWorld and TechHive track down the best new products to come out or come of age that year. Every product on the list goes through a rigorous process to make the cut and has to be something that the editors feel has made a big impact on the world. Of the top five tech home products on the 2012 list, Vivint ranked number 1.

In November 2012, TopConsumerReviews.com awarded Vivint a five-star rating, the highest ranking available. TopConsumerReviews.com is an independent organization dedicated to providing unbiased reviews of the top products available for online purchase and helping customers find products they’ll love. The site judges home automation packages based on shopping experience, customer service, and satisfaction guarantee.

In September, Vivint received a 2012 Fast 50 award from Utah Business magazine. Vivint was number five on the list: one of the top five fastest growing companies in Utah. The annual Fast 50 list is designed to honor the entrepreneurial spirit, innovative business tactics, and skyrocketing revenue of the fastest growing companies in Utah. A company's placement on the list indicates its growth in revenue over the past five years.

In September 2012, Vivint was ranked number 118 on the InformationWeek 500 List. InformationWeek is one of the largest, most trusted information technology networks in the country, and its 500 list is one of the most prestigious rankings of innovative business technology users. It recognizes Vivint’s use of new technologies, resolution of complex business problems with IT, and successful implementation of IT tech to boost company productivity.

In July 2012, the Central Station Alarm Association awarded Vivint the Central Station of the Year award. This award is designed to promote central station services and recognize outstanding monitoring personnel and the overall excellence of monitoring operation. Companies who win this award are judged by a blue-ribbon panel appointed by the CSAA. Vivint employees Amy Becht and Kate Brickner also won the CSAA Manager of the Year award and Honorable Mention for CSAA Support Person of the Year.

In July 2012, Vivint received two gold Contact Center World awards for Best Customer Service Department and Best Executive Leadership. Every year Contact Center World recognizes the best entrant in several different categories, and each winner is judged by their peers in their own industry. By awarding Vivint the gold, Contact Center World recognizes Vivint's customer service and leadership as the best in North America.

On June 18, 2012, Vivint won three Stevie Awards at the 2012 American Business Awards. The Stevie Awards recognize exemplary organizations with gold, silver, and bronze medal awards in many different categories judged by more than 200 executives every year. Vivint received two gold medals for Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Customer Service Department of the Year. Todd Pedersen, Vivint's CEO, also won a silver medal for Maverick of the Year.

The Vivint Gives Back Project, which donated $250,000 to six U.S. and Canadian non-profit organizations, received the 2011 Sammy Award for "Best Community Outreach Program" from Security Sales & Integration magazine. The Community Service Program award is designed to pay tribute to the installing security company that exemplifies the best volunteerism, as well as a sense of caring and responsibility for others that connects citizens and solves community problems.
