2013 People's Choice Stevie Awards
In March 2013, Vivint won the 2013 People’s Choice Stevie Award for Favorite Customer Service provider in the “other industries” category. More than 211,000 online votes were cast in the worldwide public vote, which was conducted as part of the seventh annual Stevie Awards competition. Vivint also received a Silver Stevie Award for Customer Service Department of the Year in the “other industries” category, and Tim Izatt, director of customer services at Vivint, was honored with a Silver Stevie Award for Contact Center Leader of the Year. Designed to honor organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them, the Stevie Awards recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide and has become one of the world’s most coveted awards.
Forbes Most Promising Companies
In February 2013, Vivint was listed at number 46 on Forbes’ annual ranking of America’s Most Promising Companies. This list includes one hundred privately held, high-growth companies with bright futures, and this marks the first year that Vivint has been named to the exclusive list. Vivint was selected to the Forbes list for its growth (in both sales and hiring), the quality of its management team and its investors, product strength, margins, market size, and key strategic partnerships.
TopConsumerReviews.com Five-Star Rating
In November 2012, TopConsumerReviews.com awarded Vivint a five-star rating, the highest ranking available. TopConsumerReviews.com is an independent organization dedicated to providing unbiased reviews of the top products available for online purchase and helping customers find products they’ll love. The site judges home automation packages based on shopping experience, customer service, and satisfaction guarantee.
Utah Business Magazine Fast 50
In September, Vivint received a 2012 Fast 50 award from Utah Business magazine. Vivint was number five on the list: one of the top five fastest growing companies in Utah. The annual Fast 50 list is designed to honor the entrepreneurial spirit, innovative business tactics, and skyrocketing revenue of the fastest growing companies in Utah. A company's placement on the list indicates its growth in revenue over the past five years.
In September 2012, Vivint was ranked number 118 on the InformationWeek 500 List. InformationWeek is one of the largest, most trusted information technology networks in the country, and its 500 list is one of the most prestigious rankings of innovative business technology users. It recognizes Vivint’s use of new technologies, resolution of complex business problems with IT, and successful implementation of IT tech to boost company productivity.
CSAA Central Station of the Year
In July 2012, the Central Station Alarm Association awarded Vivint the Central Station of the Year award. This award is designed to promote central station services and recognize outstanding monitoring personnel and the overall excellence of monitoring operation. Companies who win this award are judged by a blue-ribbon panel appointed by the CSAA. Vivint employees Amy Becht and Kate Brickner also won the CSAA Manager of the Year award and Honorable Mention for CSAA Support Person of the Year.
Contact Center World Gold Award
In July 2012, Vivint received two gold Contact Center World awards for Best Customer Service Department and Best Executive Leadership. Every year Contact Center World recognizes the best entrant in several different categories, and each winner is judged by their peers in their own industry. By awarding Vivint the gold, Contact Center World recognizes Vivint's customer service and leadership as the best in North America.
2012 Stevie Awards
On June 18, 2012, Vivint won three Stevie Awards at the 2012 American Business Awards. The Stevie Awards recognize exemplary organizations with gold, silver, and bronze medal awards in many different categories judged by more than 200 executives every year. Vivint received two gold medals for Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Customer Service Department of the Year. Todd Pedersen, Vivint's CEO, also won a silver medal for Maverick of the Year.
2011 Sammy Award
The Vivint Gives Back Project, which donated $250,000 to six U.S. and Canadian non-profit organizations, received the 2011 Sammy Award for "Best Community Outreach Program" from Security Sales & Integration magazine. The Community Service Program award is designed to pay tribute to the installing security company that exemplifies the best volunteerism, as well as a sense of caring and responsibility for others that connects citizens and solves community problems.
2011 SDM Dealer of the Year
In 2011, Vivint was named SDM Magazine's Dealer of the Year. A panel of judges ranks candidates based on five criteria: Stability of the company and its appeal as a prospective employer; pattern of long-term growth; market strengths and viability of business plan; company accomplishments; industry and community participation. Vivint also received Dealer of the Year Honoree in 2009 and was a top 10 dealer in 2010.
2011 Alfred P. Sloan Award
In October 2011, Vivint won the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence. This award recognizes the quality of our workplace and evaluates company HR procedures, benefits and compensation programs, culture, employee flexibility policies, and overall employee morale. The Sloan Awards are unique for their rigorous, two-step selection process, which involves an evaluation of employers' flexibility programs and practices, and a confidential employee survey. All applicants are measured against national norms from FWI's National Study of Employers.
2011 Consumers Digest Best Buy Award
In its July/August 2011 publication, Consumers Digest editors recognized the Vivint Home Automation and Advanced Security packages as "Best Buys" in its home security industry category. Consumers Digest awards its prestigious "Best Buy" rating to products that offer exceptional value in today's highly competitive marketplace. Its ratings are awarded based on performance, ease of use, range of features, durability, warranty, styling, maintenance, and servicing. Consumers Digest also considered excellence in customer support when choosing recipients.
Gold CRM Excellence Award
In March 2011, Vivint received the Gold Level Gartner and 1to1 Media CRM Excellence Award in the category of Enterprise Efficiency. In the category of Enterprise Efficiency, the judging panel was looking for organizations that reduced operational and interaction costs and improved sales, service, or other customer-facing processes without a detrimental impact on the customer experience.
2010 Mobilizer Award
On November 15, Vivint was recognized in the Field Service category of the 2010 Mobilizer awards. The awards, presented by Mobile Enterprises magazine, honor the organizations that lead their industries in deploying mobile and wireless solutions that improve business processes and deliver ROI.
2010 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Todd Pedersen, CEO and President, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 Award in the services category in the Utah Region on June 2, 2010. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses.
2010 CSAA Five Diamond Certification
On April 26, 2010, Vivint was awarded the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) prestigious Five Diamond Certification for its St. Paul, MN, central monitoring station. This certification recognizes that 100 percent of its operators have achieved proficiency and certification by passing the CSAA Online Operator Training Course.
ICMI Top 50 Award
Vivint has been selected as one of International Customer Management Institute's "Top 50 Call Centers for Customer Service." ICMI's Top 50 is a prestigious benchmarking program that hand-picked Vivint as 1 of 50 contact centers in North America to participate in setting a global standard for exceptional customer service.
